BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Blue Revolution Games is attempting to carve out a position in the growing market for educational and wellness-focused gaming with the launch of an early-access campaign for “Otter Planet,” a family-oriented title centered on environmental literacy and child well-being.

The company, a subsidiary of Habithèque Inc., opened public alpha access to the game as part of a 50-day grassroots funding and awareness campaign running through June 15, positioning the project as an alternative to mainstream children’s gaming built around engagement-driven monetization and screen-time retention.

The release comes as developers and educators increasingly explore whether interactive media can serve educational, emotional, and behavioral goals alongside entertainment, particularly in the children’s market.

Blue Revolution Games said “Otter Planet” combines environmental storytelling, water literacy themes, and nature-focused gameplay designed to encourage emotional regulation and environmental awareness.

The company cited research tied to virtual nature experiences, game engagement, and psychological well-being as part of the framework informing the game’s design.

“The design logic behind Otter Planet is aligned with what we know about human biology, psychology, and cognition,” Victoria A. Prizzia, founder of Blue Revolution Games, stated. “Children are shaped by relationship, sensory environments, emotional meaning, and experiences of belonging.”

The studio is using a public-access development model rather than traditional publisher financing, seeking support from parents, educators, influencers, and environmental organizations to complete the game’s commercial release.

Internal survey data released by the company indicated strong early testing engagement among children and parents, with 91% of child participants reporting they liked the game and 75% of parents stating they would consider purchasing a completed version.

The company said parents surveyed reported an average willingness to pay of approximately $14.90 for the final product.

Blue Revolution Games is also attempting to differentiate itself within the broader educational gaming market by emphasizing commercial-quality gameplay rather than classroom-focused instructional software.

The project reflects a broader shift in segments of the gaming industry toward “purpose-driven” digital experiences tied to mental wellness, environmental engagement, and social-impact branding.

The company said it is working with environmental and advocacy organizations including Women’s Earth Alliance, Sailors for the Sea powered by Oceana, and Diversity in Aquatics as part of efforts to connect in-game engagement with environmental initiatives.
