BALA CYNWYD, PA — Blackbird Health has opened a new pediatric mental health clinic in Bala Cynwyd, expanding access to evaluations, therapy and medication management as families across the Main Line and Greater Philadelphia face rising demand and long waits for child and adolescent behavioral health care.
The clinic, located at 225 E. City Avenue, Suite 104, is Blackbird Health’s 13th location overall and its 10th in Pennsylvania.
The site will serve children, teens and families seeking care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, autism spectrum disorder, emotional regulation concerns, and learning or developmental differences.
Services include comprehensive evaluations, therapy, medication management, executive function coaching, parent support and coordinated care.
The expansion comes as families navigating pediatric mental health services often encounter fragmented care, limited specialty access and difficulty coordinating support among physicians, schools, therapists and other providers.
“Parents often tell us that finding the right support feels overwhelming,” said Dr. Michael Tang, Blackbird Health’s chief medical officer and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. “Our goal is to help families move from uncertainty to clarity with comprehensive evaluations, coordinated treatment, and practical next steps.”
Blackbird Health said its care model is designed to connect mental health, behavior, school performance, developmental issues and family dynamics into individualized treatment plans.
The company also works with pediatricians, educators, school counselors, therapists and community organizations to coordinate care across settings.
In the Main Line region, Blackbird Health has begun building provider relationships, including with Philadelphia Health Associates Pediatrics, an independent pediatric practice that has served families in Philadelphia and the Main Line for more than two decades.
“We are excited to have this partnership and increased access to mental health services for our patients,” said Dr. Nancy Hillis of Philadelphia Health Associates Pediatrics.
Blackbird Health said it is in-network with most major insurance carriers.
The Bala Cynwyd opening underscores continued investment in pediatric behavioral health infrastructure as demand for youth mental health services outpaces timely access to specialty care in many communities.
