DRESHER, PA — Ascensus named Edward Greene chief human resources officer effective Sept. 14, placing the former Iron Mountain HR executive in charge of the company’s workforce strategy as the savings-services provider continues to expand.
Greene will report to Ascensus CEO Nick Good and join the company’s executive leadership team. His responsibilities include human capital strategy, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and workplace culture.
Greene joins Ascensus from Iron Mountain, where he most recently served as an adviser to the CEO focused on organizational and talent priorities and companywide change.
He previously served as Iron Mountain’s chief human resources officer, overseeing its global workforce strategy for 26,000 employees across more than 60 countries.
His earlier career included positions at FactSet Research Systems, Surfside Capital Advisors, Voya Financial and Fidelity Investments, giving him experience spanning financial services and other industries.
Good linked the appointment to Ascensus’ efforts to manage its workforce as the company grows.
“Edward brings a powerful combination of strategic vision, operational discipline, and deep experience leading organizations through growth and change,” Good stated.
Greene described developing future talent and creating career opportunities for employees as priorities in the new role.
He holds a law degree from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
Greene also serves on the boards of the Boston Ballet and Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and is a founding member of the Black Trustees Alliance. He previously served as president of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where he is set to become an honorary trustee in September.
He also serves on Eastern Bank’s Board of Advisors and as a director of workplace wellness benefits company SoHookd.
