WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon has announced the launch of the “Returning Education to the States” Tour, a nationwide initiative aimed at gathering input from educators, students, and community leaders on locally driven strategies to improve learning outcomes.

The tour, part of President Trump’s broader push to shift education decision-making back to state and local authorities, will include visits to all 50 states. McMahon will begin the effort next week with stops in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Tennessee.

According to the Department of Education, the tour will highlight successful local education models, explore policies that expand family choice, and identify best practices that could inform future reforms.
