David L. Cunningham to Announce Candidacy for PA House District 13

HIGHLAND TWP, PA — David L. Cunningham (D), a resident of Highland Township in Chester County, will officially announce that he is running for state representative in the 13th District on Saturday, July 23.

David L. Cunningham is replacing Chamir James (D), who won the Democratic nomination in the May 2022 Primary but has since withdrawn from the race. Cunningham hopes to bring his knowledge and experience to Harrisburg to better represent the people of the 13th District.

The 13th Pennsylvania House of Representatives District includes parts of Chester County and has been represented by John Lawrence (R) since 2010. The 13th District is a rural district with a population of just over 64,000, It includes the Borough of Oxford, London Grove Township, and East Nottingham Township. In total, the District encompasses 20 precincts in Chester County and is home to three school districts: Avon Grove, Octorara, and Oxford.

On Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 2 to 5 p.m., the “Sponsored by Cunningham for PA” campaign will be held at the Auman/Barnsley Farm on West Glenrose Road in Coatesville. The event is open to the public and provides an opportunity for district residents to meet Cunningham and members of his campaign.

The kickoff announcement will be made at the International Hotdog Day Picnic, an OxGrove Democrats fundraiser. Tickets for the picnic are $30 per adult, $5 per child, and may be purchased in advance at www.oxgrovedems.org.
