WAYNE, PA — TekniPlex Healthcare is expanding its push into Southeast Asia’s medical-device supply chain, using its China manufacturing operations to offer regional producers medical-grade compounds, precision tubing, component processing and sterile-barrier packaging backed by the company’s global manufacturing network.
The Wayne-based company plans to present those capabilities at Medical Fair Asia 2026, scheduled for Sept. 9-11 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The strategy targets medical-device manufacturers seeking regional sourcing and technical support while retaining access to broader quality and engineering systems.
TekniPlex’s Asia-Pacific manufacturing presence includes a facility in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, that produces medical compounds, precision tubing, spray tubing and other healthcare materials. The plant is certified under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 and includes Class 10,000 and Class 100,000 cleanroom environments.
The company supplies materials and components for medical devices, diagnostics, drug delivery and healthcare packaging. Its portfolio includes customized PVC and thermoplastic elastomer compounds, including non-phthalate formulations tailored to processing, performance and sterilization requirements.
TekniPlex also produces single- and multi-lumen tubing, multilayer and co-extruded products, radiopaque tubing and micro-diameter constructions used in applications including fluid management, drug delivery, diagnostics and minimally invasive devices.
Secondary processing capabilities include printing, hole punching and cutting, allowing manufacturers to consolidate multiple component-production steps with one supplier. TekniPlex also provides sterile-barrier materials and packaging designed to protect medical devices during sterilization, distribution and use.
Jessica Chen, managing director of TekniPlex China, said medical-device companies in Southeast Asia increasingly want suppliers that can combine materials with technical expertise, manufacturing flexibility and more dependable supply chains.
“As the MedTech industry continues to develop in the region, customers are increasingly looking for reliable partners who can provide not only high-quality materials, but also technical expertise, manufacturing flexibility, and supply-chain confidence,” Chen said.
TekniPlex has nearly 60 years of materials-science experience and a global manufacturing footprint, with its China operation serving both multinational medical-device companies and domestic manufacturers. The Southeast Asian effort positions the company to use that regional production base as manufacturers weigh supply-chain complexity, technical requirements and proximity to suppliers.
