Bentley Wins FedRAMP Approval for Federal Infrastructure Tools

Bentley Systems, Incorporated

EXTON, PA — Bentley Systems (Nasdaq: BSY) received FedRAMP authorization for two infrastructure software platforms, positioning the company to expand its role in federally funded construction, transportation, defense, and environmental projects as agencies accelerate adoption of secure cloud-based engineering systems.

The company announced that its ProjectWise and OpenGround platforms achieved FedRAMP authorization at the Moderate Impact Level, a U.S. government cybersecurity designation required for many federal cloud deployments.

The approval allows federal agencies and contractors to use Bentley’s cloud-based project delivery and geotechnical data management software within compliant government environments.

The authorization was sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

ProjectWise is used for infrastructure project collaboration and data management, while OpenGround manages geotechnical and subsurface engineering information used in transportation, water, environmental, and construction projects.

The certification arrives as federal agencies continue modernizing infrastructure delivery systems tied to long-term spending initiatives focused on transportation networks, utilities, environmental remediation, and defense-related construction.

Bentley said the platforms are designed to support digital infrastructure workflows, including connected construction, digital twins, artificial intelligence applications, and real-time engineering data management.

“The FedRAMP authorization signals Bentley’s longstanding commitment to trust, compliance, and safeguarding critical infrastructure information while improving how agencies securely share and manage project data in the cloud,” Chief Technology Officer Julien Moutte said in a statement.

Bentley added that ProjectWise Design Integration and OpenGround are now available through the FedRAMP Marketplace under Bentley for Government, with additional ProjectWise services expected to follow.
