WAYNE, PA — iPipeline has been named a finalist for the 2026 ThinkAdvisor Luminaries Awards in the AI Innovation & Impact category, drawing attention to the Wayne-based technology company’s efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into life insurance, annuity and wealth management operations.
The recognition follows the introduction of two technologies designed to connect data, automate workflows and support decision-making across financial services businesses: CHARLi, an AI foundation introduced in 2025, and Novera, a digital platform launched in 2026.
Together, the products form part of iPipeline’s strategy to expand AI capabilities across its software ecosystem, which serves insurance carriers, distributors and financial institutions.
CHARLi provides shared AI capabilities intended to support data analysis, workflow automation and personalized customer interactions. Novera serves as a broader platform for deploying those capabilities across insurance and financial services processes.
The integration is intended to reduce operational complexity by connecting information and processes that otherwise require separate systems or manual intervention.
“AI creates the most value when it is embedded into the workflows people already rely on and is solving real business challenges,” said Katie Kahl, chief product officer at iPipeline.
The company’s approach reflects a broader shift in financial services technology toward incorporating AI directly into existing business processes rather than offering it solely through standalone applications.
iPipeline Chief Executive Officer Pat O’Donnell said the company’s investment strategy emphasizes operational efficiency and decision support.
“We are building connected technology and intelligence that can help our customers operate more efficiently, make better decisions and create simpler, intuitive experiences for the people they serve,” O’Donnell said.
The ThinkAdvisor Luminaries Awards evaluate financial services companies and executives on leadership, innovation and industry impact. The AI Innovation & Impact category specifically considers the originality, scope and measurable results of AI initiatives.
ThinkAdvisor’s editorial staff and an advisory board selected the finalists from a record number of nominations, according to iPipeline.
An independent panel of financial services industry judges will determine the winners.
The awards are scheduled for December 3 in New York City, following a daytime program focused on practical applications of artificial intelligence.
The finalist selection recognizes iPipeline’s technology development but does not establish that its AI products have achieved particular financial or operational results.
The company’s nomination comes as insurers and financial institutions increasingly seek to use AI to streamline underwriting-related processes, connect information across systems and improve customer interactions.
