EXTON, PA — Exton Senior Living earned IntegraCare’s Silver Level Callbell Award for the third quarter of 2026 after recording an average in-person response time of 2 minutes, 6 seconds, a measure of how quickly staff members assist residents who request help.

IntegraCare, which operates senior living communities in three states, uses its Callbell program to evaluate staff responsiveness to residents’ requests for assistance.

Residents can activate a callbell using a pendant they carry, alerting staff when they need help with routine activities or potentially urgent situations.

The company generally associates its Gold-level designation with average response times under three minutes and its Silver-level designation with times under four minutes.

Exton Senior Living’s quarterly average of 2 minutes, 6 seconds was below both stated thresholds, although the company classified the community’s recognition as Silver Level.

Larry Rouvelas, IntegraCare’s chief executive officer, said the response system addresses a range of resident needs, including assistance with dressing, mobility and other daily activities.

“A callbell isn’t necessarily a request for an emergency,” Rouvelas said. “It may be someone needing help getting dressed, moving safely, getting a drink or taking care of another everyday need.”

The company also makes its response-time performance available to residents’ families through daily updates posted on the community’s website.
