The cases were assigned to Detective Joran Merced of the department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

Police said Merced identified Martinez as a suspect in the incidents and subsequently obtained warrants for his arrest.

On Oct. 9, officers with the Uniformed Services Division located Martinez and took him into custody without incident.

During the arrest, officers confirmed that Martinez also had an outstanding warrant issued by the Delaware State Police.

Martinez was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of criminal mischief involving damage under $1,000, one count of second-degree conspiracy and two counts of theft under $1,500.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
