Ducklings Early Learning Center Changes Ownership in Oxford

Ducklings Early Learning Center

OXFORD, PA — A Chester County childcare center has changed ownership as two longtime Ducklings Early Learning Center parents take over operations and plan new investments in the facility.

Janeen and Tony Hill, Landenberg residents whose daughters attended Ducklings Early Learning Center, acquired the Oxford location at 102 Conner Road, Suite 102A, last month. The transition places the center under local ownership as the Hills seek to expand enrollment and make facility upgrades.

Founded in 1994 by Chester County resident Jody Thompson, Ducklings Early Learning Center serves children from six weeks to six years old and operates under its proprietary Here We Grow! curriculum. The Oxford facility includes a children’s library, indoor gym, and separate playgrounds for toddlers and preschool-aged children.

The new owners stated they plan to invest in classroom renovations, updated furnishings, new learning equipment, security upgrades, and improvements to outdoor play areas.

The acquisition represents a career shift for Janeen Hill, who previously worked in marketing, communications, and branding. Tony Hill brings financial experience that the couple said will support the center’s future growth.

“With our own daughters, we have seen the incredible value of providing high-quality early education in an environment that families trust and where every child can flourish,” Janeen Hill said. “Oxford is an ideal community, with its rural charm and cultural diversity.”

The center’s leadership noted that several staff members have worked at the Oxford location for decades, reflecting long-term employee retention within the organization.

The Hills said they are also seeking to expand the teaching staff as they move forward with planned improvements and enrollment growth.

Families interested in enrollment or employment opportunities can contact the Oxford center directly for additional information.
