A. Duie Pyle Wins ATA President’s Trophy in Large Carrier Debut

A. Duie Pyle

WEST CHESTER, PA — A. Duie Pyle, a transportation and logistics company headquartered in West Chester, was named a winner of the American Trucking Associations President’s Trophy in the large carrier category, the company announced.

The award recognizes the top safety program among motor carriers based on annual miles driven, with one winner selected in each of three categories. Pyle earned the honor in its first year competing in the 100-million-mile class after previously winning five times in the medium-sized carrier category.

The selection process includes multiple stages, beginning with data submission and verification, followed by an evaluation of safety programs, company culture and training, and concluding with a final review to determine the top carrier in each class.

Peter Dannecker, vice president of risk and integrated resources at Pyle, said the award reflects the company’s approach to safety across its operations.

“Safety across the country’s most challenging freight corridors requires a collective effort that goes far beyond the driver’s seat,” Dannecker said. “Winning the ATA President’s Trophy in our debut year as a large carrier validates years of investment in our people and a culture that keeps safety at the core of everything we do.”

Pyle said its safety initiatives include driver training, maintenance programs and the use of technology such as 360-degree camera systems.
