Chatham Financial Adds Long-Term Capital Partners for Growth

Chatham Financial

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Chatham Financial reached a strategic investment agreement with Vikram S. Pandit, Atairos and GIC that will bring new long-term capital into the Kennett Square-based capital markets advisory firm while preserving majority employee ownership as it pursues further growth.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in late fourth-quarter 2026 or early first-quarter 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

Chatham will retain its existing leadership structure. Matt Henry will continue as chief executive officer and Amol Dhargalkar will remain chairman, while Pandit, chairman and chief executive officer of The Orogen Group and a former Citigroup CEO, will join Chatham’s board.

The investment gives Chatham additional backing for its growth strategy following recent expansion through acquisitions and technology spending. The firm recently completed its acquisition of Hodes Weill & Associates, a global capital advisory business focused on real estate, infrastructure and other real assets.

Chatham also launched Chatham Onyx, its next-generation technology platform, during the firm’s Global Client Summit in New York in June.

“For more than 35 years, we have helped our clients navigate capital markets with independence and expertise,” Henry stated. He described the investment as a way for Chatham to maintain its long-term approach while continuing to invest in capital markets services and technology.

Pandit characterized the transaction as an investment in Chatham’s next phase of expansion, citing the firm’s combination of capital markets advice and technology.

Chatham provides capital markets advisory services and technology designed to help organizations manage financial risk. The company will remain majority owned by its employees following the transaction.

Latham & Watkins LLP served as Chatham’s legal adviser. Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP represented the investors.
