DOWNINGTOWN, PA — CAVA opened a new restaurant in Downingtown today, expanding the Mediterranean fast-casual chain’s presence in the Greater Philadelphia market while adding dozens of local jobs.

The restaurant is located at 1090 E. Lancaster Avenue in Downingtown and operates daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The opening reflects continued expansion by fast-casual restaurant operators in suburban Philadelphia as chains compete for growth in higher-income regional markets.

CAVA says that the Downingtown location is expected to employ between 25 and 40 workers.

Regional Director Ron Shuler said the company views the new location as part of its broader regional expansion strategy.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be in Downingtown and continue growing our presence in the Greater Philadelphia area,” Shuler stated.

The company stated that its opening-week community fundraising campaign will benefit Meals On Wheels-Chester County.

Under CAVA’s Community Day program, the restaurant chain provides free meals before official openings, accepts donations for local nonprofits, and matches contributions up to $1,000. The company reported that the initiative has generated more than $1 million in food and monetary donations nationally since 2019.

CAVA noted that the Downingtown restaurant will serve the chain’s standard menu of Mediterranean-inspired bowls, pitas, dips, and dressings.

The company also stated that employee benefits include healthcare coverage, paid time off, early wage access, employee assistance programs, and mental health support.
