KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Neon nostalgia will light up the night at Longwood Gardens as fireworks and dancing fountains bring some of the 1980s’ most recognizable songs to life in the season’s “Electric 80s” spectacle.
The Sept. 26 Fireworks & Fountains Show will pair pyrotechnics and Longwood’s Main Fountain Garden displays with a soundtrack that includes “Take On Me,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Just Can’t Get Enough,” and “Video Killed the Radio Star.”
Before the 8:15 p.m. show travels back to the ’80s, visitors can go even further into the past with Drew Nugent & The Midnight Society. The group will perform Jazz Age blues, jazz, and pop in the Beer Garden from 5 to 7:45 p.m.
Tickets include all-day admission to the Gardens, giving visitors time to explore Longwood before the evening performances. The Café and Beer Garden will remain open until 9 p.m., while 1906 will offer a prix fixe menu for Fireworks & Fountains ticketholders.

All seating for the fireworks show is reserved, with chairs provided at the selected seat. Visitors do not need to bring their own chairs.
Longwood expects tickets to be limited and warns that the show is likely to sell out. Fireworks & Fountains Shows require a separate special ticket and are not included with regular Gardens admission, unlike Longwood’s Illuminated Fountain Performances.
The show is scheduled to proceed in rain. A decision to delay or cancel because of dangerous conditions such as lightning or high winds will be made at showtime, and guests are advised to arrive as planned.
Umbrellas must be closed during the performance to preserve sightlines, though rain gear is permitted. Strollers can be used elsewhere in the Gardens but must be left in designated stroller parking during the show.
Tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged for another date or time. If extreme weather forces Longwood to postpone the performance, the show will be rescheduled for the following day at the same time.
