CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — A little magic, a lot of music, and a journey to find purpose are taking center stage as SALT Performing Arts prepares to dazzle audiences with its newest production.
Pippin, the Tony Award-winning musical known for its high-energy storytelling and unforgettable songs, arrives at SALT’s Chester Springs theater this spring, promising a bold, immersive experience that blends fantasy, humor, and heart.
Running from late May through mid-June, the production follows a young prince searching for meaning in life—only to discover that fulfillment may not be where he expected. With iconic numbers like “Corner of the Sky” and “No Time at All,” the show invites audiences into a theatrical world that is as entertaining as it is thought-provoking.
“At its core, Pippin is about the universal search for meaning,” said Lauren McComas, president and artistic director of SALT Performing Arts. “We’re excited to set Pippin’s journey in Vegas—our audiences can expect a great amount of razzle dazzle.”
A Fresh Take on a Beloved Musical
Directed by Daniel K. Williams, the production features a dynamic cast led by Andy Patterson as the Leading Player and Logan Strommel in the title role.
They are joined by a full ensemble of performers, including Natalie Schaffer as Fastrada, Maura Taylor as Catherine, and Stacy Moscotti as Berthe, bringing depth and energy to the show’s vibrant world.
Behind the scenes, a creative team of designers and technicians is building a visually rich production that incorporates bold choreography, immersive sound, and digital scenic elements designed to blur the line between reality and illusion.
More Than a Night at the Theater
SALT’s production is designed as a sensory-rich experience, with dynamic lighting, sound effects, and atmospheric elements that enhance the storytelling. Audiences are encouraged to arrive early, as seating may be limited once the show begins.
The production also supports a local cause. As part of a long-standing partnership with the Chester County Food Bank, SALT will collect non-perishable food donations at every performance, and $1.00 from each ticket sold will be donated directly to the organization.
