steelmuseum.org

On September 11, 2001, the country was numb. Thousands were lost in the attacks on the Big Apple’s World Trade Center. We bled with New York. From Oppermans Corner to Byers Station, we all know exactly where we were when tragedy struck. We and our neighbors will come together at the National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum on the 20th anniversary to remember. We’ll gather at the Steelworker’s Memorial, the site of a trident recovered from the World Trade Center site. Details for the program are yet released.

The Cannonball Run 5K
Downtown West Chester Pennsylvania
Church & Market Streets, West Chester PA 19380
Saturday, September 11th, 4 – 5 pm
runsignup.com

For the benefit of the Wounded Warrior Project, there’ll be a 5K run/1-mile walk. It takes place between Market and Church Streets in West Chester. Your support will employ, empower, and engage this country’s injured vets. The event is not only a remembrance of 9/11 in New York but of the 9/11 in 1777 when the American Revolution had its longest battle right here in Brandywine. The event, whether you show up to walk, run, cheer, or support with donations is a stupendous way to thank the warriors and their families.
