WEST CHESTER, PA — Purple and gold will fill Farrell Stadium as West Chester University brings students, alumni and families together for one of the biggest traditions of Homecoming weekend: Golden Rams football.
West Chester will host Millersville University at 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at Tomlinson-Fillippo Field at John A. Farrell Stadium. The matchup serves as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division opener for both teams and the centerpiece of WCU’s 2026 Homecoming weekend.
The Golden Rams enter Homecoming with a 2-1 record under head coach Duke Greco. West Chester opened with a 21-13 victory over Lincoln, fell 27-21 in double overtime against IUP and rebounded Saturday with a 44-24 road victory over Edinboro.
The afternoon will offer more than football. WCU’s game-day experience includes live music, food trucks, a Kids’ Zone and the Purple Pit student section, along with a South Side Beer Garden introduced this season.
Students can ride the Rally Route shuttle from Wayne Hall to the stadium and receive free admission with a valid WCU student ID.

Homecoming festivities stretch across the weekend, with reunions, student activities and alumni gatherings surrounding Saturday’s game. The university is billing the Sept. 25-27 celebration as a weekend of campus traditions and opportunities for current and former Golden Rams to reconnect.
For the football team, Saturday also marks the start of divisional play and a return home after the Edinboro victory. For the larger WCU community, it is a chance to pack Farrell Stadium, wear the purple and gold, and turn an afternoon of football into a Homecoming celebration.
