LANSING, MI — Great Lakes Christian College has created a transfer pathway for University of Valley Forge students following the school’s closure, offering credit reviews, advising and financial aid guidance intended to help displaced students continue toward their degrees.
The Michigan college launched a dedicated online resource where Valley Forge students can request an initial transfer-credit evaluation, review scholarship and tuition-discount information, and connect with an admissions adviser.
Students may submit unofficial transcripts for a preliminary review. Advisers will then discuss how completed coursework could apply to available degree programs, along with remaining requirements, enrollment timelines and financial aid options.
Great Lakes Christian also introduced a Displaced UVF Students Scholarship for qualifying transfer students. The college did not disclose the award amount, eligibility criteria or the number of scholarships available.
“We recognize this is an unexpected transition for University of Valley Forge students,” Great Lakes Christian President Frank Weller stated. “Our goal is to provide clear information, personal guidance, and a straightforward transfer process that helps students understand their options and continue moving toward graduation.”
Coursework will be reviewed individually to determine whether credits are eligible for transfer and how they apply toward a Great Lakes Christian degree. The college has not guaranteed that all credits will transfer.
The initiative gives Valley Forge students another option as they assess how to preserve completed coursework and finish their studies after the Pennsylvania institution’s closure.
