MEDIA, PA — From coding and cooking to art and global diplomacy, kids across the region will have the chance to explore new passions and build real-world skills this summer at Delaware County Community College’s Summer Kids Camps.

Designed for children ages 6 to 14, the long-running program offers a wide range of hands-on experiences that go far beyond the classroom—giving young learners the opportunity to dive into subjects like artificial intelligence, Python programming, Model United Nations, babysitter training with CPR, and creative arts.

Hosted primarily at the college’s Marple Campus, with select sessions at locations in Downingtown and Drexel Hill, the camps run Monday through Thursday from mid-June through the end of July, creating a flexible summer option for families looking to keep kids engaged, active, and learning.

With more than 18 years of summer camp experience and youth programming dating back to 1996, the college has built a reputation for offering programs that balance education with fun—helping kids discover new interests while building confidence and practical skills.

Families can also benefit from financial support opportunities. Delaware County’s Delco Strong Summer Camp Solution offers up to $1,000 in credits for eligible unemployed caregivers, helping reduce the burden of summer childcare costs. Additional scholarships are available through the Delaware County Workforce Development Board, particularly for middle school students interested in career-focused skill development.

Whether a child is curious about technology, eager to get creative, or looking to try something entirely new, the camps provide a welcoming environment to learn, connect, and grow.
