NORRISTOWN, PA — MRO has appointed Lidia Bernik as president of its Curation Solutions division, strengthening the company’s leadership in clinical data management at a time when both hospitals and life sciences organizations are racing to unlock actionable insights from rapidly expanding data sets.
Bernik will oversee MRO’s strategy to scale clinical data curation and accelerate innovation across life sciences markets. With partnerships spanning more than 2,000 hospitals, MRO positions itself as a single-source provider for complete, timely, and high-quality clinical data—capabilities increasingly critical for improving operational efficiency and speeding clinical trial enrollment.
Bernik said the industry’s challenge is no longer data collection but the ability to generate meaningful intelligence. “The industry doesn’t need more data – it needs smarter data,” she said. Her focus will include advancing MRO’s tools that help health systems surface eligible trial patients more quickly, enable life sciences organizations to run faster and more inclusive studies, and expand patient access to research opportunities.
Bernik brings nearly 20 years of experience leading data, quality, and operational teams. Most recently she served as vice president and general manager of Real World Data at Flatiron Health, where she oversaw major expansion of the company’s oncology dataset—from 70,000 to more than 1.3 million patients—and scaled its clinical workforce more than fourteenfold. She previously led integration efforts at the Mount Sinai Health System and supported national expansion of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Her academic background includes a Master of Health Science from Johns Hopkins University, an MBA in healthcare administration from Baruch College, and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. She is certified in public health and health information technology.
Jason Brown, CEO of MRO, said Bernik’s mix of operational, research, and life sciences experience will be central to the company’s next phase. “Her leadership will accelerate our transformation of clinical data into actionable intelligence—connecting, curating, and activating it at scale,” he said.
MRO says its expanded data capabilities will support multiple strategic functions for healthcare organizations, including quality reporting, clinical trial recruitment, operational efficiency, and performance improvement.
Bernik said the overarching mission remains clear. “How do we leverage data to improve healthcare? Not just at a micro level, but at a macro level. How many lives can be improved, extended, and even saved?”
