Woman Arrested in Alleged Check Fraud Attempt at MidPenn Bank

SINKING SPRING, PA — A 63-year-old woman was arrested in Spring Township after police said she attempted to cash a fraudulent check at a local bank connected to an earlier scheme in Allentown.

According to the Spring Township Police Department, officers responded to MidPenn Bank, located at 3101 Shillington Road, on September 24, 2025, for a report of a woman recognized from a previous fraudulent check-cashing incident. Police identified the woman as Donnann Holdren, who was allegedly attempting to cash a check valued at $2,500.00.

Following an investigation, Holdren was taken into custody and charged with criminal attempt to use a counterfeit access device, criminal attempt at identity theft, and criminal attempt at forgery.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
