Proscia Expands AWS Collaboration to Advance Digital Pathology and AI Integration

Proscia

PHILADELPHIA, PAProscia has expanded its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), integrating its Concentriq platform with AWS HealthImaging to address two critical challenges in digital pathology: surging data volumes and fragmented data standards. The move aims to provide laboratories and life sciences organizations with a cloud-native infrastructure that accelerates workflows and supports AI-driven precision medicine.

Pathology, which informs up to 70% of clinical decisions, generates massive image datasets that require secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions. Concentriq, already delivered as a Software-as-a-Service on AWS, now supports AWS HealthImaging, a HIPAA-eligible service for storing, analyzing, and sharing whole slide images at petabyte scale.

The integration delivers several benefits, including sub-second image retrieval to enable high-throughput workflows, enterprise-wide interoperability through DICOM-native storage and APIs, simplified migration of legacy archives, and seamless access to pathology data for AI development. Concentriq’s support for DICOM was recently validated across eight major scanner vendors at the Spring 2025 DICOM WG26 WSI Connectathon, strengthening its role in advancing industry-wide standardization.

“This integration builds on the success we’ve collectively achieved in helping leading laboratories and life sciences organizations scale AI in pathology,” said Coleman Stavish, CTO of Proscia. “It reinforces our commitment to interoperability and DICOM standardization while empowering customers to harness the latest cloud services to advance precision medicine.”

The initiative extends Proscia’s long-standing relationship with AWS as a member of the AWS Partner Network. Seventy percent of Proscia customers already run Concentriq on AWS, achieving faster implementations and lower total costs compared with on-premises systems. Proscia also participates in AWS’s ISV Accelerate Program and Workload Migration Program, which provide support for software validation, workload transitions, and co-selling opportunities.
