HATBORO, PA — The Hatboro Police Department has arrested a man accused of impersonating a police officer during a traffic stop last month.

According to investigators, William McNichol, 60, allegedly used emergency lights on his personal Dodge Charger to pull over another driver at S. York Road and Byberry Road on June 21, 2025, following a road rage incident. Authorities say McNichol is not a law enforcement officer.

He has been charged with impersonating a public servant and harassment.

All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
