WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested a 17-year-old male on gun-related charges following an incident late on June 25, 2025.
At approximately 11:03 p.m., officers from the Uniformed Services Division observed the juvenile acting suspiciously in the 900 block of East 26th Street. Upon investigation, the teenager was found in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun and was taken into custody without incident.
The juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Two Counts)
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and subsequently released on $7,500 unsecured bail.
Authorities emphasize that the suspect is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
