Man Detained at West Chester Rally for Allegedly Carrying Unlicensed Gun!

WEST CHESTER, PA — A man was detained on Saturday, June 14, 2025, during a large rally in West Chester after authorities discovered he was allegedly carrying an unlicensed firearm.

Officers from the West Chester Borough Police Department were alerted by members of the public about an individual concealing a weapon while walking along North High Street, where demonstrators had gathered for a rally. Police located the suspect, conducted a pedestrian stop, and took the individual into custody after finding that the firearm was unlicensed. Authorities further stated that the individual did not possess a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon.

The identity of the suspect has not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The West Chester Borough Police Department was assisted by the Chester County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in responding to the incident and ensuring public safety. No injuries were reported.
