Teen Caught in Wilmington with Stolen Gun and Drugs – Arrest Sparks Shock!

WILMINGTON, DE — A 17-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody by Wilmington Police on June 5, 2025, after being identified as a wanted individual and allegedly found in possession of a stolen firearm and drugs. The arrest occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. in the 800 block of West 7th Street.

According to authorities, the juvenile was apprehended without incident. During the arrest, officers reportedly discovered a loaded 9mm handgun, previously classified as stolen, and five grams of crack cocaine.

The suspect faces charges including:

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Three Counts)
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $38,000 cash-only bail.

All criminal charges remain allegations, and the juvenile is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
