14-Year-Old Boy Stabbed by Classmate in Shocking Attack

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A 14-year-old is facing multiple charges after a classmate was seriously injured in a stabbing incident on May 7, 2025, in the 400 block of Center Street.

Police responded to the scene to find the victim, a 14-year-old male, suffering from serious injuries. Officers administered emergency first aid before handing over care to medical staff from Longwood Fire Company. The victim was then transported to Nemours AI duPont Hospital for treatment.

According to investigators, the attack occurred on railroad tracks behind the 300 block of West Cedar Street. Authorities allege the suspect repeatedly threatened to kill the victim while attacking him with a knife, even as the victim attempted to escape to safety.

Following a detailed investigation, charges were filed against the suspect on May 16, 2025. The juvenile, whose name has not been disclosed, has been charged with criminal attempt murder, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and other related offenses. The suspect was taken into custody and placed at the Chester County Youth Center due to the grave nature of the allegations.

The Kennett Square Police Department is urging parents and guardians to emphasize the dangers of fighting and carrying weapons, and to immediately report concerning behavior to authorities.
