Route 3 Lane Closures Next Week – Brace for Delays and Drive with Care!

Traffic Alert

NEWTOWN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming lane closures on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Newtown Township, Delaware County, as part of a local safety improvement project.

The closures are set for Wednesday, May 21, and Friday, May 23, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic in both directions will be impacted between Boot Road and Ellis Avenue to accommodate topsoil and seeding operations along the roadway.

Motorists traveling through the area should prepare for possible delays and allow extra time for their commutes. Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution in the work zone, as congestion is expected during the scheduled hours. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
