Man Fights for Life After Daylight Shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police are actively investigating a shooting that left a 52-year-old man critically injured on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

The incident occurred around 4:44 p.m. in the area of West 7th and Catawba Streets. Responding officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police have not released further details about the circumstances of the shooting or any potential suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
