Three Arrested in Wilmington for Alleged Role in Stolen Vehicle Case

WILMINGTON, DEDelaware State Police arrested three individuals on May 3, 2025, in connection with allegations of a stolen vehicle at Prices Corner Shopping Center on Kirkwood Highway.

According to authorities, troopers responded around 10:40 a.m. after receiving a report of a black Ford Explorer, previously reported stolen in New Jersey, located in the parking lot. The unoccupied vehicle was identified through its New Jersey registration. Investigators determined that three male suspects were involved and began searching the area.

Troopers ultimately detained 19-year-old Qaadair Parks, 18-year-old Donald Shepherd, both of Wilmington, and a 17-year-old male from Newark after finding them nearby wearing clothing that matched descriptions given. The suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Each individual was charged with receiving stolen property over $1,500 and second-degree conspiracy, both felonies. Parks and Shepherd were released after arraignment, with Parks receiving a $4,000 unsecured bond and Shepherd released on his own recognizance. The 17-year-old male was committed to New Castle County Detention Center in lieu of an $8,000 cash bond.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the matter. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
