KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Police have charged a 29-year-old woman after she allegedly filed a false report about a domestic assault on the evening of May 3, 2025.

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Center Street at approximately 7:14 p.m. after Desiree Rosales-Diaz claimed her boyfriend had struck her, causing a small cut on her arm. However, as police investigated, inconsistencies in her account became apparent. The timeline and details provided did not align with evidence, and the nature of her injury did not support the scenario described.

Upon further questioning, Rosales-Diaz admitted to fabricating the story, citing issues in her relationship as the motivation for her claim.

Charges filed against Rosales-Diaz include false reports to law enforcement, unsworn falsification to authorities, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

Officials have reiterated the seriousness of filing false reports and the impact such actions can have on law enforcement resources and community safety.

Rosales-Diaz is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
