Help Solve the Tragic 2017 Murder of 25-Year-Old Andrew Pennewell

WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Police Department’s Cold Case Unit is appealing to the public for information related to the unsolved 2017 murder of Andrew Pennewell.

On November 19, 2017, at approximately 7:23 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1200 block of West 3rd Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Pennewell suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation into the shooting remains active, and detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward. “Cold cases like this rely heavily on community cooperation. Even the smallest detail could be the missing piece needed to bring justice,” officials stated.
