WILMINGTON, DE – An ongoing investigation by Wilmington Police has resulted in the arrest of four men on firearm and drug-related charges. Authorities executed a search warrant tied to alleged illegal firearm possession and vehicle thefts, leading to significant seizures.
On April 9, 2025, at approximately 12:25 p.m., officers from the Gun Intelligence Unit served a search warrant in the 1800 block of North Washington Street. During the operation, police took 21-year-old Tamir Knotts; 19-year-old Lashaun Bradley; 19-year-old Ayden Drummond; and 19-year-old Naim Benson into custody without incident.
Among the items recovered during the search were a loaded 5.56 caliber rifle, three loaded 9mm handguns, and quantities of controlled substances, including 129.42 grams of heroin, 10.7 grams of crack cocaine, and 10.5 grams of marijuana.
Authorities have filed the following charges against the suspects:
- Tamir Knotts faces one charge of receiving a stolen firearm. He was released on $2,000 unsecured bail after arraignment.
- Lashaun Bradley has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a prohibited person, receiving a stolen firearm, and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $25,000 cash-only bail.
- Ayden Drummond faces similar charges, including two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a prohibited person, receiving a stolen firearm, tampering with physical evidence, and resisting arrest. He is also being held on $25,000 cash-only bail at the same facility.
- Naim Benson has been charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and is detained at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution with a $10,000 cash-only bail.
Police emphasized that all charges at this stage are allegations, and the accused individuals remain innocent until proven guilty in court. The investigation by Wilmington Police is ongoing.
