Which Chester County Roads Will Face Disruptive Lane Closures Next Week?

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced upcoming resurfacing work on two state highways in Chester County next week.

From Tuesday, September 23, through Friday, September 26, alternating lane closures will occur on Saint Matthews Road between Route 401 (Conestoga Road) and Pughtown Road in West Vincent Township from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Additionally, from Wednesday, September 24, through Friday, September 26, Phoenixville Pike will see lane closures with flagging between Saunders Lane and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in West Whiteland Township. Restrictions will be in place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and again overnight from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for milling, paving, and utility work.

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time. All work is weather dependent.
