Two Chester County Road Closures Could Upend Weekday Travel

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers in West Nantmeal and Wallace townships should prepare for daytime road closures and detours beginning Monday, August 31, as PennDOT completes base repairs on two local roads.

Lewis Mills Road/Creek Road will close Monday and Tuesday between Route 82 (Manor Road) and Chestnut Tree Road. Drivers will be directed to use Route 82 (Manor Road), U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike), and Chestnut Tree Road.

Indian Run Road will close Tuesday through Friday between Route 82 (Manor Road) and Springton Road. Drivers will be directed to use Route 82 (Manor Road), Fairview Road, Indiantown Road, and Springton Road.

Both closures will be in effect during daytime work hours, with overlapping restrictions scheduled Tuesday. Local access will remain available at all times.

Drivers should plan extra time when traveling near the work areas or along the detour routes because backups and delays may occur. The schedule depends on weather conditions.
