WEST SADSBURY TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that the bridge carrying Swan Road over Officers Run will remain closed while engineers assess damage and develop a repair plan following a vehicle crash on Friday, October 10.
Swan Road is closed and detoured between Church Road and Upper Valley Road. Motorists are being directed to use U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike), Pine Creek Drive, Newport Avenue/Zion Hill Road, and Liberty Street during the closure.
The bridge, built in 1916, carries about 2,465 vehicles per day. PennDOT has not yet announced a timeline for reopening.
