CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers in western Chester County should prepare for weekday closures on two sections of Fairview Road beginning Monday, July 20, as PennDOT crews perform base repairs. Only one section of Fairview Road will be closed at a time, but motorists should plan extra time and expect delays along the posted detours.

From Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23, Fairview Road will be closed between Route 401 (Conestoga Road) and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike).

Beginning Tuesday, July 21, and continuing through Friday, July 31, Fairview Road will be closed on weekdays between Route 282 (Creek Road) and Route 82 (Manor Road).

PennDOT said only one section of Fairview Road will be closed at any given time, and local access will be maintained throughout the project.
Motorists traveling through Wallace Township, East Nantmeal Township and West Nantmeal Township should expect backups near the work zones and along the detour routes. Seek alternate routes when practical and allow additional travel time.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be postponed or rescheduled.
