EAST COVENTRY TWP, PA — East Coventry Township officials announced a major road construction project set to begin Monday, July 14, that will close a key stretch of Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) for over three weeks.
From July 14 through August 4, eastbound Route 724 will be closed around the clock between the U.S. 422 Interchange and Sanatoga Road. During this period, passenger vehicles will follow a detour using Old Schuylkill Road and Route 724, while large trucks will be rerouted via U.S. 422, Route 100 (Pottstown Pike), Route 23 (Ridge Road), and back to Route 724.
Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Officials urge motorists to plan for additional travel time and anticipate delays in the area. All work is dependent on weather conditions.
