Chester County Residents Join Forces for Mega Cleanup on Tattersall Way

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A nationwide cleanup drive dedicated to the Birth Centennial of Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari was undertaken by residents and volunteers of the non-profit organization Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP) at 1520 Tattersall Way on August 13th, 2023, and July 16th, 2023. These events were organized by DSNDP in collaboration with the Department of Transportation (DOT). ‘Adopt-A-Highway (AAH)’ program is part of a year-long Nationwide Cleanup Drive undertaken by DSNDP across 17 states and 31 cities in the United States.

The clean-up drive was held in Chester County, PA. DOT’s AAH Program is a partnership between the DOT and DSNDP volunteers, working together to make Chester County better, a mile at a time. More than just a cleanup campaign, this innovative program works to educate citizens of all ages about the responsibilities of land stewardship-the care and repair of our environment. Ultimately, the AAH Program is about people caring enough to make a difference.

The Chester County Adopt-A-Highway cleanup drive was scheduled and held very close with New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Texas and California states and will be followed by other states. DSNDP has collaborated with 17 states-31 cities for running these cleanup drives across the United States.

The DSNDP is a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Shri Dattatreya Narayan Dharmadhikari, dedicated to social services in the name of Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari. With over a million worldwide volunteers, they run various initiatives like blood donation drives, cleanliness drives, and literacy classes. DSNDP hosted a highly successful Women’s Cancer Awareness Event in February 2023. Assemblywoman Angela V. McKnight graced the occasion as the esteemed chief guest. Distinguished speakers from renowned institutions such as Harvard, Cleveland Clinic, and Tufts Medical Center made enlightening contributions.

Moreover, DSNDP’s recent Blood Donation Drives across various countries including the United States, India, Australia, UK, Canada, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Nigeria, and Singapore have set a remarkable example of the tremendous impact achieved by mobilizing communities both locally and globally.
