WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County Sheriff’s Office has announced the return of its interactive educational seminar, “Think Before You Post,” set for Friday, May 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chester County Justice Center. This free event, aimed at students, families, educators, and community members, will also feature a virtual attendance option for those unable to join in person.

Now in its second year, the seminar seeks to address growing concerns about online behavior, social media safety, and digital reputations. With a focus on equipping attendees with critical tools and knowledge, the program highlights the potential long-term consequences of seemingly harmless online actions.

This year’s event will feature speakers from the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, the District Attorney’s Office, and the Chester County Department of Emergency Services. These experts will provide attendees with real-world stories and actionable advice on navigating the internet responsibly. Topics will include social media privacy, personal safety, and the impact of digital footprints on opportunities like college admissions and career prospects.

“We’re seeing more and more cases where a single post can derail a student’s future,” said Noah Stribrny, Command Staff Liaison for the Chester County Sheriff’s Office. “This seminar is about helping students and families take control of their digital footprint before it controls them.”

The session aims to create greater awareness while fostering dialogue around responsible online behaviors. Families and community members are encouraged to attend and take part in this important conversation.
