Police Seek Man Wanted on Strangulation, Theft Allegations in Newark Case

NEWARK, DE — Newark police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a series of serious allegations involving violence and theft.

According to the Newark Police Department, authorities are attempting to locate Jeremy King, a 40-year-old white male with a last known address in Bear, Delaware. Police said King is wanted on an active warrant that includes three counts of alleged strangulation and one count of alleged theft.

King is described as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. Investigators said he may be operating a silver 2014 Acura with Delaware registration number 232025.

Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances that led to the warrant but emphasized that the charges are allegations contained in a criminal complaint. Any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
