Kennett Square Woman Arrested on Child Abuse Allegations

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Rosa Vazquez-Lopez, a 41-year-old resident of Kennett Square, was arrested on November 10, 2023, by the Kennett Square Police Department. Vazquez-Lopez was wanted on an active arrest warrant, issued by District Court 15-3-04 on November 1, 2023.

The arrest followed an investigation into a report alleging child abuse and harassment by Vazquez-Lopez. The report, received by Kennett Square Police Officers on October 25, 2023, suggested that Vazquez-Lopez had allegedly been physically and emotionally abusive to a juvenile and adult family members.

With assistance from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, a Criminal Complaint was filed against Vazquez-Lopez. She is facing charges of terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, and harassment. The charges were filed at District Court 15-3-04.

Upon her arrest, Vazquez-Lopez was transferred to Chester County Prison for Central Booking. As a result, she is no longer considered a wanted individual.

The allegations against Vazquez-Lopez are serious. If convicted, she could face severe penalties, including potential jail time. It’s important to remember that these are still allegations, and Vazquez-Lopez is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
