KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A Kennett Square resident was arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses following an investigation into allegations of possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
Sergio Bedolla-Cerritos, 26, was taken into custody on May 14, 2025, by the Kennett Square Police Department. The arrest stemmed from a prior incident occurring on April 25, 2024, when police responded to the 100 block of North Walnut Street after receiving an anonymous report about a group of individuals allegedly being loud and smoking marijuana at approximately 2:42 p.m.
Following this incident, Bedolla-Cerritos was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and later released while awaiting a summons. However, he failed to appear for a scheduled preliminary hearing on July 3, 2024, leading to the issuance of a bench warrant for his arrest.
The recent arrest on May 14, 2025, culminated in a preliminary hearing on the same date as authorities pursued the allegations against him. The charges are being processed under the Controlled Substance, Drug Device, and Cosmetic Act (Act 64), which addresses violations related to narcotic substances and related materials.
Authorities have emphasized that all charges against Bedolla-Cerritos are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
