Coatesville Youth Arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft in Wawa Parking Lot

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police Department announced the recent arrest of a 14-year-old Coatesville resident and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 9, 2023, at approximately 1:40 AM, West Chester officers conducted a vehicle investigation on the 700 block of E Gay St in the Wawa parking lot. During the course of that investigation, officers came into contact with the sole vehicle occupant, a 14-year-old male from Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Officers discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Coatesville, Pennsylvania on August 8, 2023.

The juvenile male was arrested and charged with Motor Vehicle Theft and numerous other related charges.

A preliminary hearing is currently pending. The juvenile was released to the custody of his mother.
