Troopers responded at about 1:30 a.m. Oct. 4 to a sports bar in the 3800 block of North Dupont Highway for a report of shots fired, according to state police.

A preliminary investigation by the Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit determined that Morales had allegedly dropped her purse during a physical altercation with an unrelated person. Police said the victims picked up the purse and returned it to Morales, who then allegedly accused them of stealing it.

Investigators allege Morales subsequently went to her vehicle, retrieved a handgun and pointed it at one of the victims before firing multiple shots.

Detectives found evidence related to the alleged shooting inside Morales’ vehicle, according to state police. No injuries or property damage were reported.
