Who Fatally Stabbed a 22-Year-Old in Northeast Philadelphia?

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in Northeast Philadelphia late last month.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, officers were responding to an unrelated disturbance in the 6000 block of Torresdale Avenue on May 24 when witnesses alerted them to a stabbing victim nearby at the intersection of Benner Street and Torresdale Avenue.

Police said officers located 22-year-old Joshua Toth in the back seat of a gold Toyota Camry suffering from multiple stab wounds to the torso.

According to investigators, officers transported Toth to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:14 p.m.

The Philadelphia Police Department has released an image of a man investigators are seeking to identify in connection with the homicide investigation.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the individual depicted in the images to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

Police said a reward of $20,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
