WILMINGTON, DE — A 22-year-old Bear woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly pepper-spraying a client and two family members during a dispute over hair services in Wilmington.
According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded around 2:30 p.m. on July 22 to Thestylistmk, located at 3650 Kirkwood Highway, following a report of an assault.
Investigators reported that a customer had received hair services from Mykahya Pritchett. After the appointment, an argument broke out between Pritchett, the customer, and the customer’s parents regarding the services provided and the price.
State police stated that after the customer submitted a partial payment, Pritchett allegedly followed the family outside and sprayed all three individuals with pepper spray. Two of the victims were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, while the third victim reported no injuries.
Following the initial response, troopers obtained an arrest warrant for Pritchett.
On July 23, state police returned to the business and took Pritchett into custody without incident. She was taken to Troop 6 and charged with:
- Three counts of Assault Second Degree (Felony)
Pritchett was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court and released after posting a $15,000 cash bond.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
