Texas Woman Sought in Kennett Square Identity Theft Case

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Kennett Square police are seeking the whereabouts of a Texas woman wanted in connection with an identity theft investigation that began last year.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, officers responded to the 600 block of D Street on Nov. 24, 2025, after a victim reported that their personal information had allegedly been used without permission to apply for multiple apartment rentals in Texas.

Police reported that investigators obtained search warrants for email providers and conducted additional investigative steps that allegedly linked 46-year-old Kenyetta Jefferson-Howard of Mesquite, Texas, and a male associate to the scheme.

Based on the investigation, authorities filed a criminal complaint and obtained an arrest warrant for Jefferson-Howard on June 15, 2026.

Jefferson-Howard is wanted on charges of identity theft and criminal conspiracy, according to police.

Authorities describe Jefferson-Howard as a Black female, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 132 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
