WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man is facing firearm and drug charges after police reported recovering a loaded handgun and suspected controlled substances during an encounter late last week.
According to Wilmington Police, members of the Uniformed Services Division were patrolling the area of West 24th and North Washington streets at approximately 9:27 p.m. on May 27 when they observed a man behaving suspiciously.
Police said officers made contact with 43-year-old Kalvin Snow and took him into custody without incident.
According to investigators, officers recovered a loaded .40-caliber handgun and six Percocet pills during the encounter.
Snow was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Court records show Snow was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released after posting $8,000 secured bail.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
